Our colleague Esin Iplik, PhD student of MDH University, presented a poster in NIR focusing on TUPRAS oil refinery case study in the 19th biennial meeting of the International Council for NIR Spectroscopy in Australia. This was a great place for her for sharing experiences with researchers working on similar topics, and getting nice feedback to advance further work. Congratulations! In recent days, the FUDIPO consortium met in Izmit, a city near Istanbul, in Turkey, to review the development of the project, the financial report, comment on the different experiences of the case studies, and decide future actions.
Thus, during the first day, we present the current status of the different use cases and the implementation of the sensors. The day continued with a visit to the Tupras oil refinery, especially to the control room. Finally, the general assembly was held, and we were able to enjoy a delicious dinner at the Tupras facilities.
During the second day the conclusions of the Chief Engineer were presented, and the actions carried out in communication and dissemination were emphasized. To highlight, a new joint event is planned next March 2020, where different SPIRE projects will be invited and results will be presented. After that, two workshops were held in parallel. One to see the necessary steps for implementation, and the second to see how to measure the results of the integration. With this, our coordinator Erik Dahlquist closed the meeting and we returned home with the batteries charged to continue moving forward in the project.
We will tell you more soon! If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us!
