H2020 projects COCOP and FUDIPO organize their final workshop on 11th March 2020 – VIRTUAL WORKSHOP

The workshop will present the EU perspective on digital operations in process industries and discuss plant-wide monitoring & control of data-intensive processes, the scope of SPIRE-02-2016 projects.

COCOP and FUDIPO will present their vision, objectives, approach and the solutions implemented for different process industry (Steel, Copper, Pulp & Paper, Oil Refining, Heat and Power plants and Waste-Water treatment), evaluating their impact on quality and resources/energy efficiency and analysing their transferability to other sectors.

Moreover, CoPro, MONSOON and MORSE projects, all working in similar areas, will be also present in the meeting, providing insight on their projects. As a direct consequence, we will gather in this event some of the latest advances done within SPIRE in improving the efficiency of the process industries through advanced control and optimisation.

Don’t miss it! The workshop will take place on the 11th March 2020 and it will be a virtual workshop with remote connection.

The agenda of the event is available hereRegistration is open. until Tuesday 10th March at 12.00. You will receive the link to the connection by e-mail

We look forward to welcoming you!

Our colleague Moksadur Rahman presents his licentiate defence next 30th October

Next 30th October is an important day for FUDIPO, as our colleague Moksadur Rahman, who has been intensively working on the project will present his licentiate defence in Energy and environmental engineering based on the work done. The title of this defence is “Towards a learning system for process and energy industry” and is focused on the use of different process models, soft-sensors and optimization techniques to improve the control, diagnostics and decision support for the process and energy industry. Thereby, a generic architecture for optimal control, diagnostics and decision support system, referred to as a learning system, is proposed in his research. You can read the full abstract here: https://mdh.se/mdh-kalender/moksadur-rahman-forsvarar-sin-licentiatuppsats-i-energiteknik-1.125299

We wish him the best for this day!

FUDIPO will attend MONSOON final conference in Turin with other SPIRE projects representatives – SAVE THE DATE!

SAVE THE DATE for the Digitized Operations for Sustainable Process Industries Pathway Towards INDUSTRY 4.0 organised by MONSOON, with the support of FUDIPO, COPRO and COCOP projects, to be held in Turin (IT) on September 20th 2019.

The workshop will present some results from EU funded projects on digital operations in process industries and focus on plant-wide monitoring and control of data-intensive processes.

The four projects funded under the SPIRE-02-2016 topic will present major objectives and outcomes. A specific focus will be put on MONSOON project that will detail and demonstrate the developed platform supporting online monitoring and predictive approaches. The workshop will include also a poster session where projects working on digitized operations in industry environment will present visions and results. The event will end with a panel session dedicated to the next steps toward full digitization of process operations.

Attendance at the workshop is FREE, but the number of participants is limited. You can REGISTER here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/digitized-operations-for-sustainable-process-industries-pathway-towards-industry-40-tickets-66692151019

Digitized Sustainable Process Industry workshop in Frankfurt, 18th October 2018

FUDIPO at SPIRE Process Industry Conference, 19th September

Last 19 September 2017 the Process Industry Conference, SPIRE mid-term policy event took place in Brussels, with the relevant stakeholders for the European Process Industry, including a session for a brief presentation of SPIRE projects on this topic, as FUDIPO, Monsoon, ProPat, etc.

We presented our main goals and business opportunities (see the presentation here) and had the opportunity to meet with other project representatives from COCOP and MORSE, and showed three posters about the project overview, the case studies and the modelling approach (have a look on the full view of posters here)
