Our colleague Moksadur Rahman presents his licentiate defence next 30th October

Next 30th October is an important day for FUDIPO, as our colleague Moksadur Rahman, who has been intensively working on the project will present his licentiate defence in Energy and environmental engineering based on the work done. The title of this defence is “Towards a learning system for process and energy industry” and is focused on the use of different process models, soft-sensors and optimization techniques to improve the control, diagnostics and decision support for the process and energy industry. Thereby, a generic architecture for optimal control, diagnostics and decision support system, referred to as a learning system, is proposed in his research. We wish him the best for this day!

FUDIPO presents a paper in SUPERHR19 conference in Savona (Italy)

A paper related to designing new system solutions using simulation and use this to optimize the solution in the FUDIPO study case – heat & power plants – will be presented by MDH colleagues in the SUPERHR19 conference next week! The title is: “Future directions for CHP plants using biomass and waste – adding production of vehicle fuel and other chemicals”.

SUPERHR19 is the acronym of SUstainable PolyEnergy generation and HaRvesting Conference, which will take place in Savona (Italy) on September 4-6 2019. The SUPEHR’19 Conference will bring together industry, academia, and research world to exchange experiences, ideas and technical results on future technologies for sustainable energy generation, encompassing the whole range from large power plants to small energy harvesters. The conference will be held inside the Savona Campus, a branch of the University of Genova, Italy.

More info about the paper will be posted soon!

MDH presents the FUDIPO toolbox in Digicor, 18th Dec ’18

Erik Dahlquist, from MDH University and coordinator of FUDIPO, presented the project toolbox for Al industry and energy companies, the last 18th December. There were about 50 companies representatives in the event, all related to the automation sector, both SME and large companies. If you have some doubt about the toolbox being developed in FUDIPO and how it can improve your company processes in terms of energy efficiency, contact us!

MDH attends GPPS conference in Zurich and presents a conference paper

Ioanna Aslanidou (MDH University) presented a position paper in GPPS conference, last 10th-12th January, in the frame of FUDIPO project, about the role of micro gas turbines in the future green energy system. The paper presented was received well, with a good discussion following the presentation.

The forum where the paper was presented was a high-level event, with policymakers from companies around the world. The small size of the forum allowed more discussions with professionals from the academia and industry and feedback was obtained from experts in the field with different backgrounds and needs.
