Description: Tieto was founded in 1968 and is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland. Tieto is the largest Nordic IT services company, but have also a strong global presence and delivery capabilities. Project Partner in this project is Tieto Austria GmbH with approximately 130 employees which is leading Tieto’s research and development department of “Holistic Manufacturing Intelligence (HMI³)” in the forest based industry. The HMI³-Team has started research and product development activities which fit perfect to the goal of this project. Main goal of the HMI³-group is to deliver IT solutions in terms of production and capacity planning including also the process level so that the whole chain of production process and mill execution system can be included in one system. This approach is new and innovative and fits to the goal of this project to optimize the whole production chain.
Main tasks in FUDIPO: Tieto will develop process solutions for the pulp & paper industry, in power plants as well as in the refinery industry. Moreover, Tieto will integrate various solutions in a holistic IT management system. Tieto will lead the WP4.
Richard Reisinger: Senior Project Manager at Tieto Austria GmbH. Richard holds a degree in business economics and computer science and has more than 20 years of experience as consultant and project manager in the process industry, especially the pulp & paper and oil & gas industry. In FUDIPO project Richard is leader of work package 4 as well as project manager of Tieto Austria.
Andreas Roither-Voigt: Process Optimization and Control Engineer at Tieto Austria GmbH. Andreas holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and has more than 15 years of experience in Electrical Engineering as well as Automation, Control and Optimization in various process industry sectors. He has a strong focus on performance optimization in terms of energy and raw material efficiency and control stability. His research focus in this project is the combination of process optimization and simulation technologies, model predictive control, data-driven modelling, machine learning and implementation of such technologies in an integrated software architecture environment.
Oliver Poscher: Senior Software Architect at Tieto Austria GmbH. Oliver has more than 20 years of experience as developer and software architect with different technologies. Oliver is software architect of Tieto’s “Holistic Manufacturing Intelligence” product (HMI3) which is a solution to simulate and optimize the whole production chain in the pulp & paper industry. In FUDIPO project Oliver is responsible for the conceptual design of the framework for application-wide integration of developed methods, functions and models.
Vladimir Vilchinsky: Software Developer at Tieto Austria GmbH. Vladimir holds a degree in applied mathematics and computer science and has more than 10 years of experience as developer with different technologies. Vladimir’s focus in FUDIPO project is the development of a calculation engine to integrate and run developed methods, functions and models at the different demonstration cases.
